Oprah against having Palin on show
I find it quite amusing that Oprah has decided to get Palin on her show only AFTER the campaign is over. Her argument is that she doesn’t want her show to be used as a political platform… however she had the Obama’s on at the beginning of his campaign and passively discussed political issues while delving into the Obama family.
Seems to me the biggest supporters of the fairness doctrine are the left so where is Sarah Palin’s time on the show? If she doesn’t want it to be a political platform fine, just have her on to discuss her family life and not ask any political questions. It comes across as Oprah doesn’t want America to get to know Palin before the election is over. Unfortunately for Oprah, she is the show, and the moment she decided to endorse a candidate… she made her show a political platform. She will host fund raisers, is willing to campaign for him, and even sing his praises however she won’t even have a cup of tea with a hockey mom from Alaska based on the issue of wanting a “neutral political show”? Don’t want it political? Fine don’t ask political questions. Oprah won’t do that though because she is afraid Pailn will connect with more voters when they realize how down to earth and common she is.
Double standard much? I’ll let you decide.
